The interview operating system

Building the standard for human-led hiring

Maslow turns online interviews into structured, decision-ready evidence, while keeping human judgement at the centre.

Mission

Our purpose

Hiring decisions are often made in interviews, yet the interviews themselves are rarely structured, measured, or designed to produce reliable evidence. Most hiring managers receive little or no training, leaving them to rely on instinct, memory, and inconsistent judgement when assessing candidates.

By guiding online interviews in real time and capturing evidence as it happens, Maslow turns unstructured conversations into clear, defensible decisions. Interviewers stay present, candidates are assessed against the same criteria, and teams leave the conversation with real signals rather than impressions.

Maslow is the interview operating system. It brings structure, consistency, and evidence to a process that has long relied on guesswork.

THE MASLOW STANDARD
Our origin

The turning point was noticing what companies did not see

Our journey has taken us from London to Sydney via San Francisco. We saw different companies, different cultures, and different hiring norms, but the same failure pattern every time.

Hiring technology has spent two decades optimising the top of the funnel. Sourcing and screening have been refined to the point of exhaustion. Yet the most expensive and most human part of hiring, the interview, is still often run without a system.

We have lived that gap from every side of the table. We have led global teams across healthcare, defence, and technology. We have been accountable for the bottom line, and we have been the recruiters stuck between candidates asking for clarity and managers offering "gut feel."

Internally, interviews looked fine because decisions kept getting made. Externally, candidates experienced unclear questions, inconsistent standards, and feedback that felt arbitrary or never came at all. From the outside, the process looked professional. From the inside, it felt random.

That is when it clicked. Most organisations do not measure the interview; they only measure the outcome. Because of this, interview quality stays invisible, bias goes unchecked, and the candidate experience quietly degrades.

We built Maslow to fix that. It is a system inside the interview that helps teams run structured, evidence-led conversations. It allows you to make decisions you can explain and defend, while providing a better experience for the candidates on the other side of the table.

"Hiring isn't a HR function; it's the engine of growth. But for too long, we've focused on the 'sourcing' and ignored the 'human.' We pour capital into finding people, then neglect the very process that's supposed to welcome them."

Principles

The values we live by

The standard we hold ourselves to every day. No exceptions.

Lead with humanity

We exist to amplify what makes us human: fairness, empathy, and creativity. We keep people at the centre of every choice and outcome.

Confidence through clarity

Every interaction should reduce doubt. We believe clarity builds trust, and trust gives people the confidence to move forward.

Win together, lift others

We succeed by setting others up for success. We celebrate every voice, build on each other’s strengths, and know that no one truly wins alone.

Grow by learning

We believe growth comes from curiosity and openness. Every interview is a chance to learn, improve, and enrich both ourselves and others.

Act with courage

We make decisions with integrity, even when it is uncomfortable. Courage means raising tough questions and choosing progress over comfort.

Ambition with evidence

We set our sights high and ground every step in facts and integrity. No empty promises, only outcomes that can be trusted.
